I could barely breathe.
Every… single… step… took… effort.
The cold alpine wind whipped around me, unhindered by any trees.
I looked around, only to realize I was still within sight of my car pulled off on the side of the road.
Sucking wind, I reminded myself this was the highest paved public road in the US.
That evening, as I sat on the side of another road (1000s of feet lower), I watched a bull elk call to his girlfriends.
It had really been an amazing day.
That’s why I made this shirt.
